MEMO TO: Dr. Gregory McGee DATE: 11/22/12 FROM: offer Briggs RE: Memo #5 of 6, Section 01, Jacqueline Frair The week ahead goodwill break, Jacqueline Frair, the assistant professor of wildlife ecology and the curriculum coordinator of wildlife lore major(ip) here at ESF gave a presentation on the Wildlife sympathy major offered. In my opinion, it was the best presentation given lengthwise the entire semester. Wildlife science is the application of ecological knowledge that balances touch by both the needs of wildlife universes and the needs of people. Professor Frair gave her quarrel actually emotionally and emphatically. Her desire for her work of work is what rightfully make the presentation interesting for me. She explained how on her first field assume in Canada she saw a moose and was right off positive(p) to becoming a wildlife biologist. This may happen later on when I go on my first field film and see something that may change my mind She also talked to the highest spot using GSI (Geographic Information Systems) to track Elk in the Canadian Rocky mountains using statellite, along with scat samples and even shot some animals with paintballs to track. These are some skills I could learn how to do if I were to switch into this major. I feel it would set yourself up for a good career in the DEP or DEC, which is what I am looking to do after college. In the Wildlife scientific discipline major, students obtain a background in the fundamental sciences (chemistry, physics, and math) and hence learn how ecosystems and wildlife are affected in many aspects of their life. A major part of the major is palming with how the expanding human existence is going to maintain biodiversity. Habitat fragmentation is the biggest contributor to species mischief and extinction, and through the courses taught here you will be schooled in how to luck with restoring these habitats and saving species from extinction. If you want to get a full es say, gear mechanism up it on our website: !
